Smith Katzenstein and Jenkins is pleased to announce that Lauren Ferguson has joined the firm as an associate and will be primarily focusing on corporate and complex commercial litigation in the Delaware state and federal courts. Lauren is admitted to practice law in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Lauren is a 2021 graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she served as Pro Bono Chair for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and the Homeless Advocacy Project. While earning her J.D. at Villanova School of Law, she was a legal intern for the Delaware County District Attorneys Office, where she litigated preliminary hearings, and negotiated waivers and summary guilty pleas in the District Courts of Delaware County. She also performed legal research and reviewed academic literature on issues of constitutional law as a research assistant for the Dean of Villanova Law School, Mark Alexander. Prior to law school, Lauren graduated from the University of Tampa, cum lade, with a B.A. in International and Cultural Studies, and minors in Spanish and History.
