KATHY MILLER NOMINATED TO SUPERIOR COURT
On July 28, Delaware Governor John Carney nominated Kathy Miller to serve as a Superior Court Judge. If confirmed by the State Senate, Kathy will take the seat formerly held by Judge Abigail LeGrow. Kathy’s nomination is expected to be considered by the State Senate during an Extraordinary Session later this year.
In his announcement, Governor Carney stated: “Kathleen is a skilled attorney with the experience necessary to serve on Delaware’s Superior Court bench. I want to thank her for her willingness to serve, and I look forward to the Senate considering her nomination.”
Bob Katzenstein, Managing Partner, stated: “Our firm is excited, proud, and sad about Kathy’s appointment to Superior Court. We are excited for the people of Delaware and for Kathy. It is great for the State because we know that, if confirmed, Kathy will be a hardworking, fair, and knowledgeable judge. Kathy wants to devote herself to public service and in our view, this is the best way that a talented lawyer can serve. It is sad for our firm, because Kathy has been here for 32 years and has been an outstanding advocate, counselor, partner, and friend. Our clients and we will miss her wise counsel.”
